Friction welding machine
For this application, aircraft engine parts are welded together. The welding points are measured in advance. The sensors are located on a telescopic unit. Here an extraordinary solution from igus® is used for the energy supply and makes this application possible in the first place. Standard chain links were used to construct a special energy chain® which is capable of bending in a different direction in the middle than at the beginning and at the end. This became necessary because the E-Chain® is not allowed to project beyond the telescopic unit.
