Cable guide on the robot
In the case of this industrial robot, a rigid pipe between the 3rd and 6th axis was replaced by a multidimensional, flexible Triflex® R energy chain®. The previously used pipe wore out very quickly because of the constant movement on the components. The advantage of Triflex® R: All the movements of the robot can be supported by shortening and lengthening the energy chain® to any length. Furthermore, a DryLin® W linear guide with polymer sliding elements from igus® is used as a retraction system.
