DFG wing

manus® 2007

The contribution is concerned with the flow behavior of airfoils in aircrafts. Large jets generate the so-called wake turbulences which have effects several miles behind them. Therefore large safety gaps should be kept to some extent.

New wing shapes can contribute toward narrowing the clearances and to control air traffic more safely and effectively.

Here the challenge in the design was that the bearing of the group of components for the application in the measuring medium water had to be designed.

The manufacturing costs of custom-made products could be kept to the minimum by the use of plastic plain bearings.
