In this contribution, a UV radiator unchanged for 10 years was reconstructed and improved in the details.
The spotlight consists of a UV lamp and 2 reflectors, which bundle the emitted UV light into focus. After the radiation process, the reflectors are pivoted, so that no uncontrolled emission of the UV rays takes place.
Due to the strong UV light and high temperatures, leaded bronze bearings were in use so far. These are relatively expensive and associated with increased installation costs. In addition, these had to be changed regularly, as relatively high wear occurred due to many pivoting cycles.
The iglidur® Z flange bearing reduces here the costs and the amount of maintenance.
