This fiber optic cable series supplies data to hundreds of cranes worldwide. Now this can also be done in "arctic" areas - new materials make continuos-flex applications possible at down to -40°C.
Bending radius 15xd
low-temperature-flexible up to -40 °C
Gradient glass-fibre cable for heavy-duty use
Halogen-free TPE outer jacket
PVC-free
Maximum EMC protection, with high transmission qualities in terms of glass-specific requirements
Indoor and outdoor applications
For freely suspended and gliding travel distances up to 500m
igus® gradient glass fiber cable in a deep freeze test, igus® laboratory.
Continuous flexing in a deep freeze environment was simulated with alternating, extreme temperature sequences. Even under such extreme conditions, the attenuation rateof the cable was not supposed to exceed 3 dB at 850nm wave length. After 1 Million flexing cycles, equating to approx. 7000 km of travel distance, the attenuation was still measured well below 3 dB.
