Guidance of mechanism to centralise blocks of cheese

weighing up to 85kg on cutting machine in-feed

The arms of the centralising unit needed to be guided smoothly from below a conveyor. Due to the position of the guides, they would be subject to severe washdowns, be potential bacteria traps and inaccessible for maintenance. By mounting the centralising arms on DryLin® polymer bearing pillow blocks, we had a design that provided smooth guidance, had sufficient load capacity, would not corrode, had virtually no cavities for food to lodge and was maintenance free.
