Helicopter hangar for ships
Telescope type deploying and retracting of a hangar at sea.
Since igus® launched the snap-open and (two-piece) E-Tube in the mid 80s, many additional parts and innovations have supplemented the product range. E-Tubes are applicable in areas with hot chips, dirt and dust generated by wood processing, steel works, pulp, textiles, agriculture and coal industry, and many other adverse environmental conditions. Select the cost-efficient, alternative Series R100 for applications with slow and medium speeds. Series R for higher speeds.
General machines, material transport, construction machines, long travels in many industrial sectors, semiconductor, ESD versions, theater and entertainment industry, vehicles.
U-shaped support of the E-Tube at high lateral acceleration
Series R68 in an apple sorting facility, in continuous contact with humidity and dust.
E-Tube of the R type series are also best suited for small installation spaces and high speed. Ready assembled here with hydraulic cables and mounting parts
E2 E-Tube unsupported installation on the side in the chip area
Telescope type deploying and retracting of a hangar at sea.
These applications are dependent on a compact energy supply system, for which the accumulating wood chips do not matter.
An asphalt finisher applies hot and cold bitumen mixtures. The E-Chain® supplies the front area of the vehicle and is exposed to extreme dirt.
The applied material repels chips with temperatures up to 850° C without leaving a trace.
This motorbike prototype has been designed extremely flat to keep consumption as low as possible.
Another great project with five students is under way at the Institute for Machine Tools and Industrial Management (iwb), Technical University of Munich.
