This machine is used in the meat processing industry. There, it gets in direct contact with food on one hand and on the other hand with aggressive cleaning agents. Standard metal bearings in the drive of the machine would not withstand such loads for a long time. This contrasts with the lubrication-free iglidur® A180 plain bearings, especially developed for this application area.
