Safe driving
This under-carriage is used in agricultural machinery as an alternative to air-filled tyres. The machines drive at up to 40 kilometres an hour in a dirty and damp environment and carry a weight of 50,000 kg. This means the under-carriage is subject to an enormous load. The bearings in particular, which encase the pivoting axles, have to be especially sturdy. Conventional bronze bearings wear too quickly, so that developers decided to use lubricant-free and corrosionresistant iglidur® plain bearings instead. Since then, the under-carriage has been running perfectly in all weathers.
