Safe routing
Transport systemThis transport system is used in a coking
plant. Quenching vehicles move the
glowing coke to the quenching tower at
a speed of 3.4 metres per second over a
distance of around 500 metres. The energy
supply cables for the vehicle drive are
routed by an e-chain® of the 5050 series
from igus® over the long stretch. This safely
avoids cable breakage and increases
system availability.
