Core sand mixing plantThis core sand mixing plant is extraordinary.
Usually the mixer of a core sand
mixing plant is even with the core shooter
funnel. At this plant, the mixer had to
be placed on the hall floor due to local
conditions. The distribution vehicle needed
to transport the sand vertically upwards
and it had to overcome 5 metres of height
difference within 2 minutes. The energy
supply had to be transported too. For this purpose igus® developed a special liftband
that guarantees energy supply also
in the smallest space.
