Plasma cutting systemThis plasma cutting system cuts plates on a length of 45 metres and a width of 4 metres. So far, gas, cooling water as well as power and servo cables were guided in an energy chain®. This lead to cable faults, ruptured hoses, to problems in the servo control system and finally to system standstill. Meanwhile two double energy chains® from igus® are used – one for the forward movement and the other for the backward movement. This allowed the separation of hoses and cables from each other and avoided cracks and cable damages.
