High-speed cameraThe winner of this year‘s Silver vector® is mainly used in crash tests for vehicles and vehicle parts. The highspeed camera “E-Liner CAM” can move parallel to the test object at up to 23 metres per second and is accelerated at up to 750 m/s2. It was decided to use an e-chain® of type 1400 from igus® with 181 links to ensure the motor, feedback and camera cables were all moved along perfectly even at this high acceleration rate. Special metal sheets were installed to ensure the chain is routed safely.
