Reliable unloading
Unloading stationRailway carriages are unloaded at this station in the Vanino coal-fired power station in Russia by means of a rotating drum structure. Since use of a suspended chain was not possible due to the little space available for the data and power cables and the threat of collision with the servicing crane, an igus® solution was chosen. An e-chain® of the 4040 series was used to route the cables safely over their 3.8 metres of travel. Sturdy chainflex® motor cables, control cables and measuring system cables further increase the availability of the system.
