Sunscreen slats
A total of 1,026 sunscreen slats were installed on this building (E.ON Technology Centre, Salzgitter - built in 2011) across 2 floors. The individual slats are made from expanded metal. They are arranged vertically and driven electrically. At a pivot angle of 50°, they offer optimum sun protection while also providing a good view to the outside. The slats are supported with maintenance and lubricant-free igus® iglidur® J plain bearings.
