Guaranty program in three levels – 18. 24 or 36 months
This program provides the customer with a guaranty on chainflex® cables of the current catalogue product range (exclude: chainflex® M – 1 million double strokes). In terms of duration, even the shortest igus® guaranty period is longer than the statutory minimum guaranty period which, we all know, is only 12 months. Prerequisite for the guaranty is the operation of the cable within the operating conditions specified for the respective cable series in the catalog.
Guarantee Club membership
The three levels of Club Membership and the associated igus® services*The customer does not receive the benefits automatically by making a purchase! Customers must register the membership and perform the certification/training required by the respective status level.
Status level “orange”
Scope: 18 months guarantee or 5 million double strokes (within the parameters of the respectively valid catalogue data)
Condition: starting at EUR 1 turnover/year, on-site certification by the sales consultant
Optional: Guarantee stickers to mark your machine
Status level “silver”
Scope: 24 months guarantee or 7,5 million double strokes (within the parameters of the respectively valid catalogue data)
Condition: starting at EUR 10,000 turnover/year, on-site certification and training by the sales consultant
Optional: Guarantee stickers to mark your machine; comprehensive consulting for improvement opportunities for handling and assembly of cables, process cost reduction and optimisation of complete e-chain® systems
Status level “gold”
Scope: 36 months guarantee or 10 million double strokes (within the parameters of the respectively valid catalogue data)
Condition: starting at EUR 100,000 turnover/year, on-site certification and training by our sales consultant and our product management
Optional: Guarantee stickers to mark your machine; comprehensive consulting for improvement opportunities for handling and assembly of cables, process cost reduction and optimisation of complete e-chain® systems, novelty presentations at the customer as part of an in-house trade fair, free one day cable technology seminar, design for dynamic applications

Scope of the guaranteeThe guarantee claim for each status level is
limited by the timeframe as of the purchase date or
the realised double strokes, whichever is reached first. We will immediately replace cable piece goods in response to a guarantee claim.
Sales of the piece goods is calculated as annual turnover, which is included in all deliveries. This includes chainflex® piece goods and chainflex® piece goods that were installed in readycable® and readychain® products. Copper values are not taken into account. The gold and silver status expires when the annual turnover threshold is not met, due to missing certification, or by
written termination of programme participation.
The annual re-certification is conducted from
01.12. - 31.01. This programme is voluntary and provides the customer with a guarantee on chainflex® cables in the catalogue product range.
With respect to time, even the shortest igus® guarantee period exceeds the statutory minimum guarantee period, which is limited to only 12 months.
Implementation procedure
After purchasing chainflex®, our customers are visited
by our employee. When there is interest, participation in the programme is simple formality.
Our sales consultant can immediately issue the orange guarantee status. The customer then has immediate access to the guarantee coverage.
Our employee documents the transaction into our IT system on-site. In order to document the guarantee statement for the customer, the customer is immediately given the certificate and the desired number of guarantee stickers for his machine. More stickers are available from us on request.
Once annually, the turnover is determined for programme participants as of 31.12. Attaining the respective turnover thresholds allows reaching a new status level. The customer will be visited by us for this purpose.
When there is interest for attaining the silver or gold status level, this requires certifying the assembly and design-engineering staff. This certification includes a detailed discussion of cable routing practices in an energy chain. Moreover, the applications are reviewed and necessary improvements are proposed.
The certification is free of charge for the customer and must be completed as a training measure.
